Souda-E-Zindagi

Bhaahon mein phool juda hokar bikhar jaate hain
Tum ho sang to zindagi he munawwar

Koi kahe pagal , to koi dewaana mujhe
Ek jalak paane , jo roj idhar aate hein

Door hokar kahan sakoon naseeb hota hai
E khuda tu hi bata, kyu log bichad jaate hain

Hosh khokar jite hai is tarah
Jaana hota hai kahin , jane kidhar jaate hain...

To Sachhayi kya he...

ZINDAGI KEHTI HAI PYRA KAR,
PYAR KEHTA HAI BEWAFAI HAI IS MAIN,
BEWAFAI KEHTI HAI ZAMANA KHARAB HAI,
ZAMANA KEHTA HAI SAMBHAL APNE DIL KO,
DIL KEHTA HAI AAZAAD KER MUJHE IN ULJHANOM SE...

Take Care

Take Care
Appreciate and take care of what you have.
So much of what we are given in life is free...
Beauty, nature... even love... is given freely...

If you don't take care of it and protect it...
It will all disappear...

Nobody's Perfect

Is there anybody perfect in this world? I guess not. Then why is there so much hatred? Why don't people realize before getting angry or hurting another, that there are flaws in themselves too? By belonging to the trading community, I confront this sad state of mind everyday from different people. Not that people get angry at me. But being smack in the middle of a very busy commercial district in Ernakulam(That's in the state of Kerala, India), I come across a mad rush around me. Everybody is in a chaotic race towards a unified goal- make more money!!! Well, no harm in that. But it really hurts when people start to forget their sense of direction, or who they really are and why they are here. Money does matter in the present state of affairs, but there’s something much more important and valuable which is very much absent today in the greater part of the people- a forgiving heart! Compassion and sympathy hold little value today. Here’s a mail I received yesterday which I'd like to share with you -

A Lesson of a Homeless Man

~*****~

It was a cold winter's day that Sunday. The church parking lot was
filling up quickly.

I noticed as I got out of my car, fellow church members whispering
among themselves

as they walked in the church. As I got closer I saw a man leaned up
against the wall

outside the church. He was almost laying down as if he was asleep.
He had on a long

trench coat that was almost in shreds and a hat topped his head,
pulled down so you

could not see his face. He wore shoes that looked 30 years old. Too
small for his feet,

with holes all over them and his toes stuck out. I assumed this man
was homeless and

asleep, so I walked on by through the doors of the church. We all
fellowshipped for a

few minutes and someone brought up the man laying outside.
People snickered and

gossiped but no one bothered to ask him to come in, including me.
A few moments

later church began. We all waited for the Preacher to take his place
and give us the

Word. Then the doors to the church opened and the homeless man
came walking down

the aisle with his head down. People gasped and whispered and
made faces. He made

his way down the aisle and up onto the pulpit when he took off his
hat and coat.

My heart sank, there stood our Preacher, he was the "homeless
man." No one said

a word. The Preacher took his Bible and laid it on his stand. "Folks,
I don't think I
have to tell you what I am preaching about today."

“Remember We're All..
God's Children...”

Well folks, isn't that exactly what we do when we meet poor or deprived souls?? Wake up! They are human too. I don’t mean anybody has to be a Mother Teresa or Harishchandra, but the least you can do is change your attitude and treat humans like humans!!

My First Ever Blog Post!!!

Hi Everybody,

Here I am with my first post... I've been having this account for a while now but I guess I've been shy to post anything, thinking there's nothing much I can contribute. Well anyways, I'm going to use this space to voice my thoughts & feelings about everything and anything!!

As to who my inspiration has been in starting this blog, I would like to thank two people- Preethi, who with her wonderful blog, click here, will undeniably inspire everyone to look at life differently. And the other is my dearest friend, who would like to remain anonymous at this moment, but is a great teacher and Philosopher.

Here's a song I found on YouTube to be interesting, not because of the video, but the lyrics... Embedding has been disabled, but do watch it on YouTube-
Emmy Rossum - Slow Me Down. I hope you like it..
